How are fees other than the Royalty Fee and Brand Fund Contribution paid by a Southern Steer franchisee?

According to the 2025 Southern Steer Franchise Disclosure Document, fees other than the Royalty Fee and Brand Fund Contribution are due and payable based on the Designated Supplier's terms and conditions or per the invoice provided. The Royalty Fee and Brand Fund Contribution are paid weekly via EFT (electronic funds transfer). However, Southern Steer may elect to collect the Royalty Fee and Brand Fund Contribution on another basis with 30 days' prior written notice.

Other fees that a Southern Steer franchisee may incur include an Additional Training Fee, Brand Conference Fee, Transfer Fee of $10,000 plus the current fee to attend the Initial Training Program, Relocation Fee, Testing Fee, On-Site Assistance Fee of $10,000, Technology Fee, Direct Ads TV Fee, POS System Fee, Recipe/Safety Fee, and Signage Fee. There is also a Successor Franchise Fee that is 25% of the then-current Initial Franchise Fee, and Liquidated Damages of $250 per day for each unauthorized product or service offered or sold. If the franchisee fails to correct any deficiencies in their Southern Steer Business and Southern Steer does so, the franchisee will reimburse Southern Steer for the actual cost incurred to correct such deficiencies, including travel and living expenses.
