What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Southern Steer's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the term "Computers and Software" encompasses a range of computer-related items that franchisees must use in their business operations. These include computer hardware, computer software, peripheral devices, and systems related to point-of-sale, cash register functions, credit card processing, online ordering, and loyalty scanners. The definition also extends to other systems related to credit card processing and operating systems.

Southern Steer requires franchisees to either lease, license, or purchase these "Computers and Software" items, ensuring they meet the standards, specifications, and requirements established by Southern Steer. These standards are detailed in the Brand Manual or provided in writing by the franchisor. This ensures uniformity and compatibility across all franchise locations, allowing for efficient data management and customer service.

This access allows Southern Steer to retrieve data, financial information, and other information necessary for monitoring the franchisee's performance and ensuring compliance with the franchise agreement and the Brand Manual. The information includes Gross Revenues, direct labor costs, and food costs, categorized for detailed analysis.

Southern Steer also retains the right to require franchisees to modify, enhance, update, and upgrade their computer systems.
