What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Punch King Fitness FDD, franchisees must use the Microsoft Windows operating system. In addition to the operating system, franchisees are required to buy and use Impact Wrap Software, Hardware, and PushPress Gym Management Software.

The FDD specifies that the estimated cost for leasing or purchasing the required computer system ranges from $1,500 to $2,000. Franchisees are also responsible for the ongoing maintenance, repair, upgrades, and updates to their computer systems.

Furthermore, Punch King Fitness requires franchisees to continuously lease, buy, use, update, and upgrade designated computer hardware, software, mobile applications, internet programs, and other applications without contractual limits on frequency and cost. The estimated annual costs for optional or required maintenance, updating, upgrading, or support contracts for the cash register or computer systems are $4,000, as detailed in Article X of the Franchise Agreement. This means that, over the term of the franchise agreement, a franchisee could incur significant costs related to maintaining and updating their computer systems to meet Punch King Fitness's requirements.
