What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Punch King Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, SAP refers to the site approval package that a franchisee must submit to the franchisor for site approval. Within 60 days of signing the Franchise Agreement, the franchisee must provide Punch King Fitness with a completed SAP in the format the franchisor specifies.

The SAP includes a site approval form, an option contract, a letter of intent, or other evidence that demonstrates the franchisee's ability to obtain the site. It also requires photographs of the site, demographic statistics, and any other information or materials that Punch King Fitness may reasonably require. The franchisor then has 30 days to approve or disapprove the proposed site. If Punch King Fitness fails to provide written notice of approval or disapproval within that timeframe, the site is considered disapproved.

Submitting a complete and acceptable SAP is a critical step for a prospective Punch King Fitness franchisee. Site approval is time-sensitive, and the franchisee bears the responsibility for gathering all necessary documentation. The franchisee should communicate proactively with Punch King Fitness to ensure the SAP meets all requirements and to understand the criteria for site approval. The franchisee should also be aware that Punch King Fitness retains sole discretion over site approval.
