What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Punch King Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor must approve the site for a Punch King Fitness Training Facility. If a franchisee wishes to relocate their Punch King Fitness Training Facility, the new site must meet Punch King Fitness's then-current site requirements.
For both initial site selection and relocation, Punch King Fitness requires that they approve the site. Additionally, Punch King Fitness provides building specifications for the real property space, reviews the franchisee's design plans, and requires the franchisee to retain a licensed architect. The franchisee must also obtain a feasibility study prepared by a qualified third party.
Furthermore, the franchisee is obligated to reimburse Punch King Fitness for any costs and expenses they incur in reviewing or approving the relocation. This reimbursement is considered a relocation fee. This means that franchisees need to factor in not only the costs of physically moving locations but also the franchisor's administrative and review fees when considering a relocation.
