What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Punch King Fitness's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Punch King Fitness may charge franchisees a reasonable per diem fee for additional training programs. The FDD states that Punch King Fitness may provide additional training programs at times and locations of their choosing during the franchise agreement term and may also require attendance at these additional training programs. While franchisees must pay for all travel, lodging, and other costs of attending training and the national convention, Punch King Fitness retains the right to charge a reasonable per diem fee for these other training programs.
This means that beyond the initial training, which is tuition-free, franchisees should anticipate potential costs for ongoing training. These costs could include a per diem fee charged by Punch King Fitness, in addition to the franchisee's expenses for travel and accommodation. The FDD does not specify what constitutes a 'reasonable' per diem fee, so franchisees should inquire about the typical amount charged for these additional training programs during their due diligence.
It is important for prospective franchisees to factor in these potential additional training costs when assessing the overall financial investment required to operate a Punch King Fitness franchise. Understanding the frequency and estimated cost of these programs will help in accurate financial planning and budgeting. Franchisees should discuss with existing franchisees to understand how often these additional training programs are offered and the typical per diem fees charged.
