What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Pump It Up Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee must operate a franchised Pump It Up Business at the location specified in Exhibit 1, referred to as the Premises. This operation must adhere to the terms and conditions of the Franchise Agreement and strictly comply with the high and uniform standards of quality, operations, and service established by Pump It Up for the System, known as the System Standards. The franchisee acknowledges the importance of these System Standards and the necessity of operating the Franchised Business in strict conformity with the Agreement, the System Standards, and the Pump It Up operations manuals.

The franchisee is responsible for developing the Franchised Business according to Pump It Up's mandatory and suggested specifications and layouts, including requirements for dimensions, design, image, interior layout, décor, fixtures, equipment, signs, furnishings, and color scheme. The franchisee must retain a licensed architect to develop construction drawings and ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable codes and regulations. The franchisee must also secure all necessary financing, insurance, permits, and licenses to develop and operate the Franchised Business.

Pump It Up will provide ongoing advice and consultation regarding the operation of the Franchised Business through manuals, bulletins, emails, written materials, online sources, telephone conversations, virtual webinars, and consultations. The System Standards may regulate various aspects of the business, including the franchised site, premises, leasehold improvements, interior finish, décor, furnishings, equipment, products, supplies, materials, inventory type, technical equipment standards, client relations, marketing techniques, written promotional materials, advertising, accounting systems, and service delivery methods. The franchisee must maintain the confidentiality of these System Standards and acknowledges that each detail of the appearance, layout, décor, cleanliness, safety standards, services, and operation of the Franchised Business is essential to preserve the goodwill of the Marks and all Pump It Up Businesses.
