What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Pump It Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the communications between a franchisee (or their Operating Principal or Multi-Unit Manager) and Pump It Up are intended to ensure that the franchised business adheres to the System Standards. These standards are established and updated by Pump It Up and are detailed in the manuals or through written or oral communications.
Specifically, the franchisee's communications with Pump It Up are a mechanism to verify compliance with the System Standards. These standards cover a broad range of operational aspects, including the franchised site, premises, leasehold improvements, interior finish, interior décor, furnishings, equipment, products, product formulas, supplies, materials, inventory type, technical equipment standards, client relations, marketing techniques, written promotional materials, advertising, accounting systems, and service delivery methods.
This communication requirement ensures that each Pump It Up location maintains a consistent brand image and operational quality, which is typical in franchising. Franchisees must stay informed about any changes to these standards and implement them in their business practices. Failing to comply with these standards could result in a breach of the franchise agreement.
