Pump_It_Up Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
This applies to Franchisees opening a Pump It Up Business. In addition to the on-the-job Training, Opening Training is completed at your Franchised Business during the "Soft Opening," which is the period up to three days prior to opening to the public and up to the first two days the Franchised Business is open to the public. During the Soft Opening, a training representative from Pump It Up may visit the Franchised Business to review the day-to-day operations. We reserve the right to modify the training at any time. This opening assistance may be provided via video conference or other online or virtual means at our sole discretion. You will not be required to pay any additional travel or living expenses incurred by our representative during the Opening Training. However, if you reschedule the opening of the Franchised Business, you must reimburse us for any travel costs we incur in changing the travel schedules of our personnel. If you request, and we agree to provide, additional or special guidance, assistance, or training during this opening phase, you must pay our then applicable charges, including fees for our personnel and their travel and living expenses.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Pump It Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, opening assistance may be provided via video conference or other online or virtual means at Pump It Up's sole discretion. This means that Pump It Up has the option, but not the obligation, to provide opening assistance remotely.
The opening assistance includes on-site training for up to three days for the franchisee or the Operating Principal and the managerial personnel. Pump It Up reserves the right to modify this opening assistance, including reducing or increasing the number of days and/or times of training.
This virtual assistance option provides flexibility for both the franchisee and Pump It Up. It can reduce travel costs and logistical challenges, potentially making the opening process more efficient. However, franchisees should be prepared for the possibility that all or part of the opening assistance may be remote, and ensure they have the necessary technology and support to participate effectively in virtual training sessions.
If a franchisee requests additional or special guidance, assistance, or training during the opening phase, they must pay Pump It Up's then applicable charges, including fees for personnel and their travel and living expenses. Franchisees should clarify with Pump It Up what specific aspects of opening assistance can be delivered via video conference and what, if any, on-site support they can expect.
