What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Pump It Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Pump It Up will provide franchisees with both mandatory and suggested specifications and layouts for their Pump It Up Business. These specifications include requirements for dimensions, design, image, interior layout, décor, fixtures, equipment, signs, furnishings, and the color scheme.
Prior to opening a franchised business, Pump It Up also provides site selection guidelines and criteria, which include factors such as population density, demographic characteristics, visibility, traffic flow, competition, accessibility, parking, size, and other physical and commercial characteristics. Pump It Up will also identify sources to obtain demographic information on proposed sites. Franchisees must submit a completed site evaluation package, and Pump It Up will either approve or disapprove proposed sites within 30 days of receipt or after an on-site evaluation, if applicable.
Pump It Up also reviews design and construction plans and specifications before construction begins. Additionally, Pump It Up provides a list of approved suppliers (PIU Vendors) for start-up items like furniture, fixtures, equipment, inventory, supplies, marketing materials, and signage, which must be purchased from these vendors. These specifications and layouts are part of ensuring brand consistency and operational standards across all Pump It Up locations.
