What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Pump It Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Multi-Unit Manager is responsible for the management and supervision of the Franchised Business and the franchisee's other franchised Pump It Up Businesses. Pump It Up reserves the right to require a franchisee to utilize a Multi-Unit Manager upon the opening of their fifth franchised location; this Multi-Unit Manager can be the franchisee themselves or their Operating Principal.
This requirement ensures that as a franchisee expands their Pump It Up operations, there is adequate oversight to maintain brand standards and operational efficiency across multiple locations. The Multi-Unit Manager acts as a central point of contact and accountability for these locations.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that if they plan to open five or more Pump It Up locations, they should be prepared to either take on the role of Multi-Unit Manager themselves or hire someone who can fulfill these responsibilities. This role is critical for maintaining consistency and quality as the number of franchised businesses increases.
