hised Business; and/or (5) inspect and copy any books, records, and documents relating to the operation of the Franchised Business. You agree to cooperate with us (or our designees) fully with any such inspection. If we exercise any of these rights, we will not interfere unreasonably with the operation of the Franchised Business.

H. Compliance with Laws and Good Business Practices. You must secure and maintain in force all required licenses, permits and certificates relating to the operation of the Franchised Business and any other licenses applicable to your management and personnel. You must operate the Franchised Business in full compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances and regulations, including, without limitation, government regulations relating to occupational hazards, health, worker's compensation and unemployment insurance and withholding and payment of federal and state income taxes, social security taxes and sales and service taxes. You must notify us in writing within 5 days of the commencement of any proceeding or the issuance of any decree of any court or government agency that may adversely affect the operation of the Franchised Business or your financial condition or give rise to liability or a claim against you or us. You must follow and abide by the crisis management information contained in the Manuals.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Pump It Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must secure and maintain all required licenses, permits, and certificates relating to the operation of the franchised business. This includes any other licenses applicable to their management and personnel. Franchisees must operate the Pump It Up business in full compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations. These regulations include government regulations relating to occupational hazards, health, worker's compensation and unemployment insurance, and the withholding and payment of federal and state income taxes, social security taxes, and sales and service taxes.

Pump It Up will not authorize the opening of a franchise unless the franchisee has received a certificate of occupancy and all required state and local certifications, permits, and licenses necessary for the operation of the Pump It Up business. This also includes licenses and certifications for staff and other personnel.

Furthermore, franchisees are responsible for preparing a site survey and all required construction plans and specifications to suit the premises. They must ensure that these plans and specifications comply with the ADA and similar rules governing public accommodations for persons with disabilities, other applicable ordinances, building codes, permit requirements, and lease requirements and restrictions. Franchisees must also comply with all state and local laws and regulations regarding the staffing and on-premises management of personnel, including any required licenses and any regulations dealing with the ratio of staff or equipment to the children on the premises.
