Where does the hands-on instruction for the Pump It Up initial training program take place?
Pump_It_Up Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Before you open the Franchised Business, you (or your Operating Principal) must attend and complete our initial training program. The initial training program involves classroom instruction as well as hands-on instruction at a Pump It Up facility of our choosing and/or at any other location as we may specify in writing. We may, in our sole discretion, provide the initial training program entirely or in part via video conference or other online or virtual means at dates and times designated by us. If you obtain an operating Pump It Up Business by transfer from another Pump It Up franchisee, you must complete this initial training program within 60 days of operating that Pump It Up Business, unless otherwise specified by us. If you are opening a new location, the initial training program must be completed in advance of the opening of your Franchised Business. You must pay all travel, living and other expenses incurred by you and your employees while attending or otherwise participating in the training. The Initial Training Program is offered periodically on an as-needed basis, as we determine such a need.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Pump It Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the hands-on portion of the initial training program takes place at a Pump It Up facility chosen by the company, or at any other location they specify in writing. Pump It Up also reserves the right to conduct the initial training program entirely or partially via video conference or other online or virtual means.
This means that new Pump It Up franchisees should be prepared to travel to a designated location for hands-on training, or to participate remotely. Franchisees are responsible for all travel, living, and other expenses incurred while attending or participating in the training. The initial training program must be completed before the franchisee can open their Pump It Up Business.
Pump It Up also provides opening training at the franchisee's location during the "Soft Opening," which includes the three days before opening to the public and the first two days of operation. A training representative from Pump It Up may visit the franchise to review day-to-day operations during this time. Pump It Up may also provide this opening assistance via video conference or other online means. Franchisees will not be required to pay any additional travel or living expenses incurred by Pump It Up's representative during the Opening Training, unless the franchisee reschedules the opening of the franchised business and incurs travel costs for Pump It Up.
