What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Pump It Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can potentially be exempt from the requirement of membership in a Regional Co-op Fund. To request an exemption, the franchisee must submit a written request to Pump It Up, stating the reasons supporting the exemption.
The decision to grant an exemption rests solely at Pump It Up's discretion, and their decision is considered final. This means that even if a franchisee provides what they believe are compelling reasons, Pump It Up is not obligated to approve the exemption request.
This discretionary power gives Pump It Up significant control over the Regional Co-op Funds and franchisee participation. A prospective franchisee should carefully consider this provision and discuss with Pump It Up the types of reasons that might warrant an exemption, as well as the potential implications of being required to participate in the Regional Co-op Fund.
