What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Pump It Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Pump It Up has the discretion to designate vendors as "Preferred National Vendors." Pump It Up also reserves the right to require franchisees to use these Preferred National Vendors for purchasing specified items such as fixtures, equipment, inventory, marketing materials, or supplies.
Pump It Up may collaborate with Preferred National Vendors to determine prices, products, shipping costs, contacts, and other agreement terms. This means that as a franchisee, you may be obligated to purchase certain items from vendors that Pump It Up has pre-approved and negotiated terms with.
While this could streamline the purchasing process and potentially offer cost benefits through negotiated rates, it also limits a franchisee's autonomy in choosing vendors. However, franchisees may also purchase from Designated Vendors and Local Vendors, subject to meeting Pump It Up's System Standards. It is important for prospective franchisees to understand the extent to which they are required to use Preferred National Vendors and what flexibility they have in sourcing products and services from other vendors.
