What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Pump It Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Pump It Up has the right to designate the form and content of a franchisee's website and may require that the website be hosted by them or a third party they designate. This may involve using websites that Pump It Up owns or controls.
Pump It Up retains the right to charge franchisees a fee for several website-related services. These include developing, reviewing, and approving the franchisee's website, as well as for hosting the website itself. This means that franchisees may incur costs not only for the initial setup of their website but also ongoing fees for hosting and maintenance if Pump It Up chooses to provide these services.
This policy gives Pump It Up significant control over the online presence of its franchisees, ensuring brand consistency and potentially generating additional revenue for the company through website-related fees. Prospective franchisees should clarify the specific costs associated with website development, review, approval, and hosting to fully understand the financial implications of this requirement.
