What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Precision Door Service FDD, each business developed under the agreement must operate under the Precision Garage Door Service system. This system involves specific methods and processes developed by Precision Door Service for the sale, repair, service, and installation of garage doors, related equipment, components, and supplies. These standards and specifications are what define a Precision Door Service "Business" or "Businesses".
The agreement grants the franchisee the right to operate multiple businesses in accordance with the franchisor's established methods and processes. This includes using the Precision Garage Door Service service mark and other intellectual property owned by the franchisor. The franchisee is expected to adhere to the standards and specifications that constitute the Precision Door Service system.
Furthermore, franchisees are obligated to install, maintain, and upgrade computer hardware, software, and internet access as required by Precision Door Service. Currently, franchisees must use the software identified in Exhibit "A" of the agreement, which Precision Door Service may revise periodically. This ensures that all franchised businesses operate using a unified and up-to-date technology platform.
In summary, a Precision Door Service franchisee must operate their business in strict accordance with the franchisor's system, utilizing the prescribed trademarks, methods, and technology to maintain brand consistency and service quality. This includes adhering to the standards detailed in the operations manual and using the mandated software systems.
