What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Precision Door Service FDD, the company owns the service mark "PRECISION GARAGE DOOR SERVICE®". Franchisees are required to use this service mark, along with the designated city, county, or region, as the trade name for their business (e.g., PRECISION GARAGE DOOR SERVICE® of Waco). They must also register this name as a fictitious or assumed name where required by local laws.
Precision Door Service dictates the manner in which franchisees can use the service mark, and franchisees must adhere to all trademark, trade name, and service mark guidelines provided by Precision Door Service. Franchisees must also include a statement in their contracts identifying themselves as a Precision Door Service franchisee and acknowledging that they independently own and operate the business.
These regulations ensure brand consistency across all franchise locations and protect the intellectual property of Precision Door Service. Franchisees must obtain written consent from Precision Door Service before using any other marks or words to identify their business. This protects Precision Door Service's brand and ensures that all marketing and branding efforts align with the company's standards.
