What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Precision Door Service Franchise Disclosure Document, in the event of a conflict between the provisions of the Franchise Agreement and the Rider, the provisions in the Rider shall take precedence. The Franchise Agreement remains fully effective in all other respects except as specifically modified by the Rider. All rights and obligations of both the franchisee and Precision Door Service remain as written in the original agreement unless specifically modified within the Rider.
This means that the Rider acts as an amendment or supplement to the original Franchise Agreement. If any terms in the Rider contradict the original agreement, the Rider's terms will be enforced. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, allowing franchisors to make specific modifications or additions to the standard agreement without rewriting the entire document.
Prospective Precision Door Service franchisees should carefully review both the Franchise Agreement and any Riders attached to it to fully understand their rights and obligations. It is important to pay close attention to any clauses within the Rider that modify or supersede sections of the original Franchise Agreement, as these changes will govern the franchise relationship.
