What is the MAP Fee for a Precision Door Service franchise, and how is it calculated?

According to the 2025 Precision Door Service Franchise Disclosure Document, Precision Door Service reserves the right to charge franchisees a Marketing, Advertising and Promotion (MAP) Fund fee. The MAP Fee is calculated as a percentage of Gross Sales, with the specific percentage detailed in the Data Sheet. Franchisees are required to pay this fee monthly, as specified in Section 8.D of the agreement. All payments of the License Fees and MAP Fees are due to Precision Door Service by the 5th of each month for the month just ended.

Precision Door Service will manage the MAP Fund and use it for marketing, advertising, public relations, and promotional campaigns. These disbursements may cover the costs of administering the fund, including accounting expenses, salaries, and benefits for employees involved in the fund's operation. The franchisor has the authority to determine the marketing methods, advertising media, and the content of marketing campaigns and promotional programs.

It's important to note that the MAP Fund is not a trust or escrow account, and Precision Door Service does not have a fiduciary obligation to franchisees regarding the fund. The franchisor is not required to spend a prorated amount on each Precision Door Service Business or in each advertising market. Additionally, Precision Door Service may collaborate with advertising funds of affiliated franchise systems, but there is no guarantee that Precision Door Service Businesses will benefit proportionately from these collaborations.
