What are franchisees responsible for regarding their employees' training for a Precision Door Service franchise?

According to the 2025 FDD, Precision Door Service franchisees are responsible for ensuring their employees receive adequate training. While Precision Door Service may provide training or guidance to the franchisee's workers regarding the delivery of approved services that reflect the system's customer and client service standards, the franchisee remains the sole employer of their employees at all times, including during training programs.

This means that the franchisee is responsible for all employment decisions and actions related to their workers. The training provided by Precision Door Service to the franchisee's employees is limited to ensuring the approved services are delivered in a manner that meets the customer and client service standards of the Precision Door Service system.

In addition to initial and refresher training offered by Precision Door Service, franchisees must also attend an annual training or conference event, currently referred to as "Reunion", at their own expense. They may also be required to attend and complete refresher or advanced training courses if Precision Door Service determines they are not current on all aspects of the system or are otherwise in need of training. Franchisees are responsible for all expenses for themselves and their employees to attend regional meetings or conventions, including training materials, travel, and living expenses.
