What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Precision Door Service franchise agreement stipulates various operational standards and requirements, including site selection and adherence to the franchisor's standards. Specifically, franchisees are responsible for finding and securing a site that meets Precision Door Service's guidelines within their designated territory. The franchisor retains the right to approve or disapprove the proposed site within 10 business days of submission, ensuring compliance with established criteria.
However, the FDD does not explicitly address whether a Precision Door Service franchisee is required to continue operating their business during a relocation process. The document outlines the franchisee's obligations regarding site selection, construction, and maintenance of the franchise location, but it does not specify any requirements or procedures related to temporary or permanent cessation of operations during a relocation.
Therefore, prospective Precision Door Service franchisees should seek clarification from the franchisor regarding the expectations and requirements for business operations during a relocation. This inquiry should cover aspects such as the permissible downtime, any support provided during the transition, and the potential impact on the franchisee's compliance with performance standards.
