What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Precision Door Service FDD, the confidentiality agreement defines "Marks" as the applicable Neighborly Franchisor's trademarks, service marks, logos, and other indicia of origin. Neighborly Franchisors intend to enter into one or more Franchise Agreements with the Franchisee, granting the Franchisee a license to use these Marks. This license allows the franchisee to operate a franchised business described in the Franchise Agreement within a specified geographical area.
In practical terms, this means that as a Precision Door Service franchisee, you are granted the right to use the brand's trademarks, service marks, logos, and other identifying symbols to operate your franchise. These "Marks" are essential for brand recognition and customer association. The confidentiality agreement ensures that these Marks, along with other proprietary information, are protected.
The agreement emphasizes the importance of safeguarding Precision Door Service's brand identity and operational methods. By defining "Marks" within the confidentiality agreement, Precision Door Service ensures that franchisees understand what constitutes the franchisor's intellectual property and the importance of protecting it. This protection extends to trademarks, service marks, logos, and any other symbols that identify the brand and its services.
