What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Precision Door Service's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company reserves the right to charge franchisees a MAP (Marketing, Advertising, and Promotion) Fund fee. While Precision Door Service has the right to implement this MAP Fee, the FDD does not state a specific date or timeframe for when they will begin collecting it. If and when Precision Door Service implements the MAP Fee, franchisees must pay the MAP Fee to Precision Door Service each month as specified in Section 8.D of the agreement. All payments of the License Fees and MAP Fees are due to Precision Door Service by the 5th of each month for the month just ended.
This means that Precision Door Service franchisees may not be required to pay MAP Fees from the outset of their franchise agreement. However, Precision Door Service retains the discretion to introduce this fee at any point during the franchise term. The amount of the MAP Fee is set forth in the Data Sheet, but the FDD excerpt does not specify the exact percentage of gross sales that this fee will be.
Prospective franchisees should clarify with Precision Door Service when the MAP Fee is likely to be implemented and what percentage of gross sales it will represent. Understanding the timing and amount of this fee is crucial for accurate financial planning and assessing the overall cost of operating a Precision Door Service franchise. Franchisees should also inquire about how the MAP Fund is managed and how it benefits their specific location.
