Accounting Software and Other Requirements

We recommend that you engage the services of a certified public accountant to assist you with the set-up of your books and records, in using the appropriate chart of accounts that we require and in producing monthly and annual compiled financial statements. If you request, we will provide you with information about companies we are aware of that offer these services to our franchisees. We require that you use an appropriate chart of accounts, comply with our operating procedures and specifications, including internal audit standards, and use our required software (as part of the Software System) and that your accounting must also be compatible with our required Software System. Currently, we also require that you license QuickBooks Online (either directly from our designated vendor, Intuit Limited, or through our affiliate ZorWare as described in Item 6). We may, upon demand, require you to provide us, within the time as we specify, with audited financial statements, using an independent certified public accountant designated by or satisfactory to us, to adopt a fiscal year consistent with ours, to cooperate with our auditors and to comply with such additional requirements as may be reasonably necessary to enable us to meet our obligations under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and to comply with applicable accounting standards and rules.

None of our officers currently have an ownership interest in any approved supplier.

The cost of items purchased in accordance with our specifications represents approximately 40% of your total purchases in connection with the establishment of your Business and approximately 24% of your on-going purchases in connection with operation of your Business.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Precision Door Service Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to use specific accounting software as part of the broader 'Software System.' Currently, franchisees must license QuickBooks Online. This can be done either directly through Intuit Limited, the designated vendor, or through Precision Door Service's affiliate, ZorWare, as detailed in Item 6 of the FDD.

In addition to QuickBooks Online, the 'Software System' includes business management software (currently ServiceTitan) and a Technology Package. Franchisees license ServiceTitan directly from ServiceTitan, Inc. and pay them the associated fees. The Technology Package, obtained through Precision Door Service, includes Qvinci, a Net Promoter Score (NPS) product (currently Broadly), FranConnect, one Microsoft Office365 E1 email account, and one Microsoft Office365 Exchange email account. Franchisees pay monthly fees to Precision Door Service or its designee for the Technology Package.

Precision Door Service may update the Software System and require franchisees to use different or additional software in the future. Franchisees will be responsible for purchasing or licensing such software as specified by Precision Door Service or the third-party supplier and paying the associated fees. Franchisees also need a personal computer and one mobile device per technician or vehicle that meet the standards outlined in the manuals to operate the Software System. It is also recommended that franchisees engage a certified public accountant to assist with setting up their books and records, using the required chart of accounts, and producing monthly and annual compiled financial statements.
