- (e) you abandon or fail to actively operate the Petro Center for 5 or more consecutive business days, unless the Petro Center has been closed for a purpose we have approved or because of casualty or government order or is requiring mechanical repair or remodeling approved by us;

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Petro Stopping Center Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must actively operate their Petro Center. If the Petro Center is closed for five or more consecutive business days, it is considered abandonment of the franchise agreement.
However, there are exceptions to this rule. The franchisee can close the Petro Stopping Center without it being considered abandonment if Petro Stopping Center has approved the closure, or if the closure is due to casualty, government order, or the need for mechanical repair or remodeling that Petro Stopping Center has approved.
