What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Petro Stopping Center's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must maintain both the interior and exterior of their Petro Center, along with the surrounding areas, to the highest standards. This includes cleanliness, orderliness, and sanitation. Franchisees must also adhere to all requirements established in the manuals and comply with federal, state, and local laws.
Petro Stopping Center may periodically modify its system standards, which could include changes to the Petro Center's facade, structure, interior specifications, and equipment. These modifications may require franchisees to invest additional capital in the Petro Center and/or incur higher operating costs. Franchisees are generally given 60 days to comply with these capital modifications, but if a modification requires an expenditure of more than $25,000, the franchisee will be given four months to comply.
Petro Stopping Center also sets standards regarding the design, layout, decor, appearance, and lighting of the location. This also includes periodic maintenance, cleaning and sanitation, remodeling, replacement of obsolete items, painting, and the use of interior and exterior signs. Franchisees must follow the standards for required fixtures, furnishings, equipment, signs, software, materials and supplies.
