What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Petro Stopping Center's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the recommendation or approval of a Protected Area or Site does not constitute a representation or warranty of any kind regarding the suitability of the area or site for a Petro Center. This means that while Petro Stopping Center may suggest or approve a location, they are not guaranteeing its success or profitability.
Petro Stopping Center's approval indicates only that they believe the area or site meets the company's acceptable criteria for locations at the time of the recommendation or approval. These criteria can include factors like demographics, traffic patterns, parking availability, competition, proximity to other businesses and Petro Centers, and the physical characteristics of the site. However, these criteria and their evaluation can change over time and vary from location to location.
This acknowledgement is crucial for prospective franchisees because it emphasizes that the franchisee bears the ultimate responsibility for assessing the viability of the location. While Petro Stopping Center provides guidance and approval based on their criteria, franchisees must conduct their own due diligence to ensure the location is suitable for their business goals. Relying solely on Petro Stopping Center's approval without independent assessment could lead to financial losses if the location does not perform as expected.
