We will disclose much of the Confidential Information to you and Personnel of the Petro Center by furnishing the Manuals to you and by providing training, guidance and assistance to you, as detailed in this Agreement.
In addition, in the course of the operation of your Petro Center, you or your Personnel may develop ideas, copyrightable works, concepts, methods, techniques or improvements ("Improvements") relating to your Petro Center, which you agree to disclose to us.
We will be deemed to own the Improvements and may use them and authorize you and others to use them in the operation of Petro Centers.
Improvements will then also constitute Confidential Information.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Petro Stopping Center's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, confidential information will be disclosed to the franchisee and their personnel through the provision of manuals, training, guidance, and assistance. This information encompasses a wide array of proprietary knowledge related to the Petro Stopping Center system.
The confidential information includes methods for obtaining licensing and meeting regulatory requirements, the design and sources of equipment, furniture, forms, materials, and supplies, and marketing and advertising strategies. It also covers delivery methods and techniques for services, personnel training procedures, computer systems, and knowledge related to the development, operation, and franchising of Petro Centers. Franchisees also gain access to specifications for products, proprietary supplies, operating assets, approved suppliers, preferred vendors, operating results, financial performance data of other Petro Centers, e-commerce data, patents, copyrights, customer loyalty programs, customer records, and negotiated terms of the Franchise Agreement.
Petro Stopping Center also considers any improvements developed by the franchisee or their personnel during the operation of their Petro Center as confidential information, which Petro Stopping Center will own and may authorize others to use. Franchisees are obligated to maintain the absolute confidentiality of this information during and after the term of the agreement, and they are prohibited from using it in any business other than their Petro Stopping Center. They must also prevent unauthorized copies or disclosures of the confidential information, including implementing procedures to restrict disclosure to employees and using non-disclosure agreements.
