What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Petro Stopping Center's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay a Monthly Advertising Fee. Beginning the first full calendar month after the opening date, the Monthly Advertising Fee is $3,000 per month.
The FDD also states that on January 1 of each calendar year, this Monthly Advertising Fee will be increased by using the CPI Adjustment. However, the Monthly Advertising Fee will never be less than the then-current Monthly Advertising Fee, even upon renewal of the franchise agreement.
Petro Stopping Center retains sole discretion over all advertising activities and how the Monthly Advertising Fees are spent. These activities include preparing advertising materials, administering advertising programs, marketing and advertising training, and supporting public relations. The Monthly Advertising Fee is non-refundable, and advertising expenditures in any geographic area do not have to be proportionate or equivalent to a franchisee's payments.
