What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Pearce Bespoke Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchise Agreement does not prevent a franchisee from having meaningful oversight over the operations of their franchised business. The agreement explicitly states that the franchisee will exercise day-to-day control over all operations, activities, and elements of the Pearce Bespoke Franchise. This indicates that Pearce Bespoke franchisees have significant autonomy in managing their businesses. However, this control must be exercised while adhering to the standards and requirements of the Pearce Bespoke Business System.

Pearce Bespoke requires that the franchisee, or in the case of a corporate entity or partnership, a designated individual with at least 50% equity and voting interest, personally manage and operate the business. This ensures that someone with a vested interest and authority is actively involved in the franchise's operations. While Pearce Bespoke provides training, support, and standards, these are designed to maintain uniformity and quality across the franchise network rather than to exert direct control over daily operations.

The Franchise Agreement specifies that the various requirements, prohibitions, specifications, and procedures of the Business System do not imply that Pearce Bespoke controls the day-to-day operations of the franchise. Instead, these are standards that the franchisee must adhere to while managing their business. This distinction is important because it clarifies that franchisees have the freedom to make operational decisions within the framework of the established Business System. The franchisee is also responsible for the safety and well-being of their employees and customers, further emphasizing their control over the business's operations.
