What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Pearce Bespoke Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to specific data security standards related to payment card processing. Pearce Bespoke requires franchisees to maintain credit card relationships with approved credit and debit card issuers, verification services, financial-center services, and electronic-funds-transfer systems designated by Pearce Bespoke. Franchisees are explicitly prohibited from using any such services or providers that Pearce Bespoke has not approved in writing. Pearce Bespoke retains the right to modify these requirements and designate additional approved or required methods of payments and vendors for processing payments.
Pearce Bespoke franchisees must comply with all credit card policies. Furthermore, franchisees are obligated to comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) as they may be revised and modified by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council or its successor organization, FACTA, and any other card payment standards Pearce Bespoke may specify.
This means a prospective Pearce Bespoke franchisee must ensure their payment processing systems and practices align with these standards to protect customer data and maintain compliance. Failure to comply with these standards could result in penalties, loss of payment processing privileges, and damage to the Pearce Bespoke brand's reputation.
