According to the 2025 Nothing Bundt Cakes Franchise Disclosure Document, the length of the franchise term is primarily determined by the Franchise Agreement. The initial term begins when Nothing Bundt Cakes signs the Franchise Agreement and extends for 10 years from the bakery opening date. If a franchisee purchases an existing bakery from another franchisee, the term will last for the remaining unexpired term of the seller's franchise agreement. The Development Rights Rider term depends on development obligations.
Nothing Bundt Cakes offers an option to renew the franchise for one additional 10-year term. However, there is no renewal or extension for the Development Rights Rider. To renew, a franchisee must provide notice of renewal no fewer than 3 months and no greater than 9 months before the end of the current term.
To qualify for renewal, the franchisee must demonstrate the right to operate at the approved location or secure a substitute location acceptable to Nothing Bundt Cakes. A reimage survey must be conducted between twelve and six months prior to the current term's expiration to plan for reimage investments. The franchisee must also prove financial capability, complete all necessary maintenance, refurbishing, reimaging, and remodeling to meet the current system standards for new franchisees, and not be in breach of any agreements with Nothing Bundt Cakes or its affiliates.
