What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Nothing Bundt Cakes' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not reimbursed for any costs associated with computer systems, upgrades, or maintenance. Nothing Bundt Cakes and its affiliates bear no responsibility for providing maintenance, updates, or upgrades to the franchisee's computer systems.
The franchisee is responsible for purchasing a service contract for POS support, which currently costs approximately $3,348 annually, though this is subject to change. The franchisee must also cover the costs of computer hardware and licensing required to implement any Proprietary Software Program that Nothing Bundt Cakes develops, as well as the costs to maintain high-speed internet access and install the necessary hardware and software for Nothing Bundt Cakes to have electronic access to the franchisee's data and security camera footage.
This means a prospective Nothing Bundt Cakes franchisee should be prepared to handle all expenses related to their computer systems, POS systems, and internet connectivity. This includes initial setup costs, ongoing maintenance, necessary upgrades, and security measures. The franchisee needs to factor these expenses into their overall budget and operational costs, as they can represent a significant financial obligation over the term of the franchise agreement.
