What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Nothing Bundt Cakes Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees do not have the right to establish an independent website. Instead, franchisees are required to participate in Nothing Bundt Cakes' E-Commerce Program. As part of this program, franchisees must fulfill online orders placed by guests through the company's website and other third-party platforms for pickup, delivery, or shipping.
This means that as a Nothing Bundt Cakes franchisee, you will not have the autonomy to create and manage your own website. Instead, you will rely on the franchisor's established online platform to generate and fulfill online orders. This ensures brand consistency and allows Nothing Bundt Cakes to maintain control over its online presence.
While franchisees are required to participate in the E-Commerce Program, the FDD does not specify whether franchisees receive a portion of the revenue generated through online sales or if there are any associated fees for participating in the program. Prospective franchisees should inquire about the financial aspects of the E-Commerce Program, including revenue sharing, fees, and any performance metrics or expectations associated with online order fulfillment.
