What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Nothing Bundt Cakes Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Releasor' encompasses several parties associated with the franchisee. Specifically, the releasor includes the franchisee themselves, along with their successors, assigns, personal representatives, agents, owners, managers, members, officers, employees, principals, and affiliated entities. These parties collectively release the franchisor from any claims.

This broad definition means that any individual or entity connected to the franchisee's business could be bound by the release. This could include family members involved in the business, business partners, or even employees. The release covers a wide range of potential claims, whether known or unknown, that the releasor parties may have against Nothing Bundt Cakes.

For a prospective Nothing Bundt Cakes franchisee, this highlights the importance of understanding the full scope of the release and its implications for anyone associated with their franchise. It is crucial to carefully review the release with legal counsel to ensure that all parties involved are aware of their rights and obligations. This also underscores the importance of due diligence before entering into a franchise agreement, as the release could potentially waive claims related to the offer and sale of the franchise.
