What This Means (2025 FDD)
The 2025 Nothing Bundt Cakes Franchise Disclosure Document does not explicitly state which article in the franchise agreement covers opening procedures. However, Item 23 discusses development obligations, including signing franchise agreements and leases, constructing, developing, and having bakeries open and operating. It also mentions that Nothing Bundt Cakes may delay the opening of additional bakeries if they believe the franchisee is not prepared to operate in compliance with their standards.
Item 12 addresses site selection, stating that the franchisee will operate the bakery from an approved location and must enter into a Site Selection Addendum. This addendum identifies a site selection territory and governs the site selection process. The franchisee must also comply with Nothing Bundt Cakes' then-current site selection and construction procedures if relocating the bakery.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of the opening procedures, a prospective Nothing Bundt Cakes franchisee should ask the franchisor for specific details regarding the relevant article in the franchise agreement, as well as any related manuals or training materials. This will help ensure they are fully aware of all requirements and obligations related to opening and operating a Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery.
