What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Noodles & Company Franchise Disclosure Document, Noodles & Company may require a franchisee to have a certified training restaurant. Specifically, Noodles & Company may require a franchisee to have a certified training restaurant approved by them upon the opening of the franchisee's third restaurant.
Prior to training any personnel, the franchisee's training programs must be certified by Noodles & Company. Noodles & Company may withhold certification if they determine that the training programs do not meet their standards. The franchisee will also be charged fees for such certification, according to the fee schedule in the then-current Operations Manual.
This requirement ensures that Noodles & Company maintains consistent training standards across all franchise locations as the franchisee expands. It allows Noodles & Company to have greater oversight and control over the quality of training provided to new employees within the franchise system. The franchisee will need to factor in the costs and requirements for establishing and maintaining a certified training restaurant if they plan to open multiple Noodles & Company locations.
