What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Noodles & Company's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as a condition of franchise renewal, franchisees must complete renovations, modernizations, and improvements to the restaurant premises. These changes may include replacing or adding signs, equipment, furnishings, fixtures, finishes, and décor items. Noodles & Company may also require a redesign of the restaurant's layout to align with the system's current standards and image, all to Noodles & Company's reasonable satisfaction.
These renovations must be completed within six months after signing the Renewal Franchise Agreement. Failure to comply with these requirements constitutes a material breach of the renewal franchise agreement, which could jeopardize the franchisee's ability to continue operating under the Noodles & Company brand.
Prospective franchisees should carefully consider the potential costs and time commitment associated with these required renovations upon renewal. It is important to factor these expenses into long-term financial projections and to discuss with Noodles & Company what specific updates might be anticipated at the time of renewal to better prepare for these potential costs.
