What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Noodles & Company Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must pay a renewal fee if they choose to renew their franchise agreement. This renewal fee is equal to one-half of Noodles & Company's then-current initial franchise fee.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that the cost to renew their Noodles & Company franchise will depend on what the initial franchise fee is at the time of renewal. If the initial franchise fee increases over time, the renewal fee will also increase. Conversely, if the initial franchise fee decreases, the renewal fee will also decrease. This renewal fee is in lieu of paying the full initial franchise fee again.
In addition to the renewal fee, the franchisee must also meet other conditions to be eligible for renewal. These conditions include presenting evidence of the right to remain in possession of the premises, having the premises approved as a suitable location, complying with then-current qualifications and training requirements, and being eligible for renewal according to Noodles & Company's evaluation process. Failure to comply with these conditions or any required renovations could result in the termination of the Renewal Franchise Agreement.
