What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Noodles & Company Franchise Disclosure Document, the same network solution and managed network provider that services corporate restaurants will provide similar services to Franchisee-owned (FAO) restaurants. The Noodles & Company IT Support team manages these services.
This means that franchisees will receive a comparable level of network support as company-owned locations, ensuring consistency and potentially simplifying technology management for franchisees. The network within the franchisee's restaurant will be updated to match the standard configuration in corporate locations. This standardization extends to firewall settings, auto-attendant configuration, and content filtering, which all utilize a standard template. Franchisees can request changes to these settings, but the Noodles & Company IT Support team will review and implement them only if feasible.
The technology support includes managed broadband-based internet with a managed firewall, content filtering for web browsing, a managed auto-attendant for phones, and a managed network switch. The monthly cost for this Restaurant Technology Support (RTS) Plan is $1,000 per restaurant. This fee covers support for internet and phone services, Aloha POS system, OLO and Noodles Rewards programs, data security and PCI compliance, Arista wireless for guest WiFi, restaurant Microsoft 365 email account, and restaurant iPad management.
It is important to note that franchisees are responsible for secondary internet connections and traditional telephone lines, often used for alarms or security systems. Connecting any unapproved devices to the main internet connection or POS-supporting networks may prevent Noodles & Company from providing support. Franchisees should be aware of these exclusions to avoid potential issues with their technology infrastructure.
