What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Noodles & Company Franchise Disclosure Document, if an individual fails to successfully complete the required training program or is otherwise not qualified to manage or perform the necessary functions at a Noodles & Company restaurant, the franchisee must replace that individual.

Noodles & Company requires franchisees and their operating partners to complete comprehensive training, including hands-on and classroom instruction, covering all aspects of restaurant operations. This includes food preparation, safety, equipment maintenance, cost control, inventory management, and basic management techniques. Training typically occurs at the Noodles & Company Central Support Office in Broomfield, Colorado, and at certified training restaurants in Colorado and other states.

The training programs utilize company-designated systems, including The Binder for procedures and The Table, a web-based Learning Management system for new hire and development training. While Noodles & Company does not charge fees for the required training programs, franchisees are responsible for all compensation and expenses, such as travel, meals, and lodging, associated with the training. Neither the franchisee nor their employees receive compensation from Noodles & Company for services performed during training.

This requirement ensures that all personnel meet Noodles & Company's standards for restaurant operation and management, maintaining consistency and quality across all franchise locations. The cost of replacing an unqualified individual, including the expenses for additional training and compensation, falls on the franchisee, highlighting the importance of carefully selecting and preparing staff for their roles.
