What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Noodles & Company Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must pay a renewal fee equal to one-half of the then-current franchise fee, in lieu of paying a full initial franchise fee.
In addition to the renewal fee, the franchisee must present evidence that they have the right to remain in possession of the premises for the entire renewal term. Noodles & Company must also approve the premises as a suitable location for a restaurant under its then-applicable site criteria. The franchisee must also meet Noodles & Company's then-current qualifications and training requirements for new franchisees and must be eligible for renewal according to the company's evaluation process.
It is important to note that failure to comply with any required renovations, modernizations, and improvements in connection with the franchise renewal can be considered a material default, potentially leading to termination of the Renewal Franchise Agreement if not cured after notice. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these requirements and associated costs when evaluating the renewal terms.
