What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Noodles & Company FDD, several documents may contain mandatory specifications, standards, and operating procedures that a franchisee must adhere to. These include the Operations Manual, the Design Book, the Weekly Roundup, and any other written communication from Noodles & Company. These resources cover a wide array of aspects related to the restaurant's operation, ensuring consistency and quality across all Noodles & Company locations.

The Operations Manual is a comprehensive guide that may be available in various formats, such as paper, video, or digital. It contains both mandatory and suggested standards, specifications, and operating procedures. The manual addresses numerous facets of the business, including construction, design, product and menu specifications, general operations, personnel, training, accounting, sanitation, food safety, design specifications, insurance requirements, uniforms, signs, equipment, hardware and software systems, marketing, maintenance, customer experience, and reporting requirements.

Noodles & Company retains the right to modify the Operations Manual at any time, with changes becoming effective upon written notice to the franchisee. Franchisees are obligated to comply with all aspects of the Operations Manual, as amended. This ongoing obligation ensures that franchisees stay aligned with the latest standards and procedures set by Noodles & Company. The FDD emphasizes that the Operations Manual is proprietary and confidential, prohibiting franchisees from claiming ownership or disclosing its contents.

In practice, this means a Noodles & Company franchisee must regularly consult all official documentation and communications from the franchisor to ensure full compliance with current operational standards. Failure to adhere to these standards can result in a breach of the franchise agreement.
