What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Noodles & Company Franchise Disclosure Document, the Area Development Agreement can be executed in counterparts. This means that the agreement can be signed in multiple identical copies, which together constitute a single, binding agreement.
For a prospective Noodles & Company area developer, this provides flexibility during the signing process. Instead of needing all parties to sign the same physical document simultaneously, each party can sign a separate copy. This is particularly useful when the parties are geographically separated or have different signing schedules. Each signed copy is considered an original, and all copies together form the complete agreement.
This practice is common in franchise agreements and other legal contracts, as it simplifies the execution process without changing the legal effect of the agreement. Noodles & Company ensures that all counterparts are considered part of the same agreement, making the process more efficient for both the franchisor and the area developer.
