What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Noodles & Company's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, an 'Operating Partner' is defined as the individual the franchisee designates in Exhibit A of the franchise agreement, subject to Noodles & Company's approval. This individual plays a crucial role in the day-to-day management and operation of the Noodles & Company restaurant.
The Operating Partner must complete Noodles & Company's training program to the franchisor's satisfaction. They serve as the primary point of contact between the franchisee and Noodles & Company for matters related to development, operations, and other franchise-related issues. Furthermore, the Operating Partner has the authority to make binding operational decisions on behalf of the franchisee regarding the Noodles & Company restaurant.
In addition to completing the required training, the Operating Partner must devote their full-time efforts to the Noodles & Company restaurant and cannot engage in other business activities that might conflict with their responsibilities. The Operating Partner must also maintain primary residency within the designated development area throughout the term of the franchise agreement. This ensures their active involvement and commitment to the success of the Noodles & Company location.
