What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Mrcool's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may incur usage fees for accessing and utilizing the online ordering systems. Mrcool mandates the use of their designated supplier and vendor for online ordering capabilities, which include online, point-of-sale integrated, web-based, and app-based systems.
The FDD specifies that these usage fees are based on a percentage of the franchisee's processed Gross Sales. This means that the more a franchisee sells through these online systems, the higher the usage fees will be.
Prospective Mrcool franchisees should carefully consider the impact of these percentage-based fees on their overall profitability. It is important to factor in these costs when projecting revenue and expenses. Franchisees should seek clarification from Mrcool regarding the specific percentage charged and how it is calculated to fully understand the financial implications.
