What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Mrcool's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay a continuing monthly non-refundable technology fee to Mrcool throughout the term of the agreement. Mrcool retains the right to implement and charge this Technology Fee. However, the monthly fee cannot exceed $3,000 per month.
The Technology Fee is considered a general administrative fee and is not directly tied to any specific service provided by Mrcool. This means franchisees will be paying this fee regardless of their usage of any particular technology service offered by the franchisor.
It is important for prospective Mrcool franchisees to factor this ongoing monthly expense into their financial projections. Franchisees should also inquire about how the Technology Fee is utilized by Mrcool and what technology-related benefits franchisees can expect to receive in return for this mandatory fee.
