Note 6: Business Management System – You must maintain and utilize the business management systems that we designate from time to time. The business management system fee is the current monthly license fee to access the business management systems that we designate. The business management system fee does not include other fees associated with business management systems such as credit card processing fees and other integrations such as online ordering.
Note 7: Technology Fee – The continuing monthly technology fee is an administrative fee and is not associated with any particular service but is used, at our discretion, to defray some of our costs related to system website and intranet. Currently we do not charge a monthly Technology Fee but reserve the right to implement one at any time in the future provided that the monthly technology fee shall not exceed $3,000 per month.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Mrcool's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must use the business management systems that Mrcool designates. Mrcool franchisees are also responsible for the business management system fee, which is the current monthly license fee to access the designated systems. This fee does not cover other costs linked to the business management systems, like credit card processing fees and online ordering integrations.
Furthermore, Mrcool requires franchisees to install and use pre-authorized payment, business management, credit card processing, automatic payment, automated banking, electronic debit, and/or electronic funds transfer systems that Mrcool designates. The franchisee is responsible for all service charges and fees charged by their bank to allow Mrcool to electronically debit their account.
These stipulations ensure that Mrcool franchisees operate using standardized systems for business management and financial transactions. This allows Mrcool to maintain consistency across all franchise locations and streamline financial processes. While the initial investment and ongoing fees for these systems are the franchisee's responsibility, utilizing these designated systems is a condition of the franchise agreement.
