What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Mrcool FDD, information regarding the initial franchise fee can be found in Article 5, Section A. The initial franchise fee for the first development center is $50,000, payable upon the execution of the Franchise Agreement. This fee is separate from and in addition to the Development Area Fee.

For additional development centers beyond the first, the initial franchise fee is $0 (waived), provided the franchisee is not in default of the Multi-Unit Development Agreement or any other agreement with Mrcool. This waiver is applicable at the time of signing the Franchise Agreement for each subsequent Development Center.

Prospective Mrcool franchisees should note that the initial franchise fee structure differentiates between the first development center and subsequent ones. The waiver of the initial franchise fee for additional centers is contingent upon compliance with the terms of the Multi-Unit Development Agreement and other agreements with Mrcool, highlighting the importance of maintaining good standing with the franchisor.
